| I started my business in 1980 as a way to be
able to stay home with our children. We had four, three boys
ages 10, 8, 6, and a girl 5. I loved to sew and did custom
sewing for ladies in our community for many years, but found
that I missed the contact with children and their imaginations,
so I made up a whole lot of doll clothes for a craft show at
Christmas time that year and did my first craft show. Man was I
hooked!! I started doing art and craft shows that next spring
and we took “mini” vacations-me doing what I enjoyed and meeting
people, and my husband and kids doing the sight seeing and
fishing and all that kind of stuff. |
| At shows little kids would ask where I got all
my “stuff” and I would always say “Well, little fairies made it.”
Now if little fairies made it there had to be a place where they
lived, and so Fairyland Creations was born. |
| Our business in located in a small rural town
nestled on a mountain dessert in Idaho, where our children have
grown up and made us grandparents. |
| I am still making clothes for “All the Dolls in
the World” for little girls and boys and their mothers and
grandmothers to enjoy. Playing together or alone, I truly
believe that toys make the imagination soar, make believe is the
root of reality and tomorrows parents are today’s “little
mommies and daddies”. |
